Mail will not send outgoing messages. How do I fix this?

This is usually caused by an invalid SMTP port. Follow the steps below to resolve this problem.

1. Open Mail

2. From the toolbar click on Mail and select Preferences.

3. On the window that pops up, select the Accounts tab to view your existing email accounts.

4. Select the email account that you would like to configure.

5. Click on the Server Settings button.

6. In the window that pops up, change the Server port to 26 and click OK.

7. Close the window to save your changes. You should now be able to send outgoing emails.
